Pata Negra: A treasure of health benefits

Good fat to chase away bad cholesterol.

Pata negra is composed of Omega 6 polyunsaturated fatty acids and oleic acids, which stimulate the production of DHL and reduce LDL levels. In addition, its "bad" cholesterol content is lower than in chicken or turkey. For this reason, it is recommended in diets for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.

Our Pata Negra hams contain 14g of lipids, 55% of which are good fat!

Rich in vitamins B - B1, B6, B12 - and E, the Pata Negra is a powerful antioxidant, fighting against cellular aging. It is also rich in folic acid, magnesium, iron, calcium, phosphorus, selenium and zinc. Its copper content covers our daily needs to protect our bones and cartilage. It is highly recommended for people fighting against aging, growing children and pregnant women.

The WHO recommends a maximum of 5 grams of salt per day to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Iberian ham has the lowest salt content of all hams (between 3% and 4.5%). They are followed by Serrano ham (5%), Bayonne ham (5.5%) and Parma ham (5.7%).
